We like it when sites have focus, and Confessions of a Security Guard is one focused site. It belongs on the Top 50 Security Guard Websites of 2012, because it’s a blog with a singleminded purpose: to help beginners in this field. It’s focus is on the Houston, Texas area … but they reach out with information and advice for all those new to security guarding, no matter where they live.
This blog was started because of the owner feels that “there a lot of us who are not properly educated or trained by our employers and forced to learn on our own from experience and by making mistakes.”
The blog posts are helpful and they often point to other resources important to security officers. You’ll even find links to more information and some helpful videos.
This blog is definitely worth perusing.
